Aqueous alteration without initial water: possibility of organic-induced hydration of anhydrous silicates in meteorite parent bodies

چکیده
Abstract Early evolution of Solar System small bodies proceeded through interactions mineral and water. Melting water ice accreted with particles to the parent body results in formation secondary minerals, so-called aqueous alteration. Formation phyllosilicates from anhydrous silicates is a typical alteration effect recorded primitive meteorites. In addition water, organic matter could have been also significant component meteorite bodies. However, role not well understood. We conducted heating experiment silicate (olivine) mixture compounds which simulated primordial System. Dissolution precipitation features were confirmed on olivine surface after at 300 °C for 10 days, proto-phyllosilicates formed area. Magnesite was detected as concomitant phase. These minerals be evidence carbonation induced by generated decomposition hydroxy groups. Our result showed that situ hydrated mineral–organic interaction without initial presence It further implies contact can occur inside H 2 O snow line but matter, initially Water one candidate hydrous formation, example, ordinary chondrites S-type asteroids line. Although origin under debate, generation may explain D-rich because known D rich.

15 صفحه اولEnrichment of the amino acid L-isovaline by aqueous alteration on CI and CM meteorite parent bodies.
The distribution and enantiomeric composition of the 5-carbon (C(5)) amino acids found in CI-, CM-, and CR-type carbonaceous meteorites were investigated by using liquid chromatography fluorescence detection/TOF-MS coupled with o-phthaldialdehyde/N-acetyl-L-cysteine derivatization. A large L-enantiomeric excess (ee) of the alpha-methyl amino acid isovaline was found in the CM meteorite Murchiso...

Introduction: The finding of slight to significant enanti-omeric excesses for several indigenous amino acids in the Mur-chison and Murray CM-type meteorites [1-3] could point toward an exogenous origin of biological homochirality on the early Earth. UV circularly polarized light (UV-CPL) in the presolar cloud has been proposed as one possible source of the initial amino acid symmetry [4]. Howev...
متن کاملAr-ar Dating of Thermal Events on Meteorite Parent Bodies
Parent bodies of meteorites have experienced a variety of thermal events caused by early internal metamorphism and impact heating. Among radiometric chronometers, the 39 Ar-40 Ar technique is particularly sensitive to such thermal events. For over two decades the JSC laboratory has acquired 39 Ar-40 Ar data on a wide variety of meteorite types. The purpose here is to summarize some JSC data (an...
